GORILLA TRACKING

Gorilla tracking remains the most popular tourist activity in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Mountain gorillas live in the wild, yet they are carefully habituated to interact calmly with humans. Expert teams train and guide gorillas over three years in a process called gorilla habituation. This unique activity, offered by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, allows tourists to observe gorillas in-depth. With only four permits available daily, priced at $1,500 each, the experience is both exclusive and extraordinary. Visitors can enjoy close encounters with these majestic creatures, creating unforgettable memories in the heart of Bwindi’s breathtaking wilderness.

COMMUNITY WALKS

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offers tourists an opportunity to explore diverse cultures through enriching community walks. Surrounding the Buhoma Sector, you’ll find vibrant Bakiga and Batwa (Pygmies) communities with unique lifestyles and traditions. Additionally, the forest shelters 11 primate species, including chimpanzees and blue monkeys. BOOKING GORILLA PERMITS

At Gorilla Bluff Lodge, we’re happy to assist visitors in securing Gorilla Tracking permits for an unforgettable experience. We coordinate directly with the Uganda Wildlife Authority reservations office to check permit availability. As soon as we have updates, we promptly notify you. Each Gorilla Tracking Permit costs $800, with a facilitation fee of $30 per permit. Once we confirm the availability of permits, we kindly ask you to make a payment, either partial (30%) or full (100%). This seamless process ensures you can focus on enjoying your adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

GAME VIEWING SAFARIS AND ADVENTURES

While you may want to visit other national parks of Uganda before or after Gorilla Tracking, see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, rhinos, the chimpanzees, or see the world’s most powerful waterfall, our guests are able to see all these at a relatively affordable rate. Simply let us know during the booking process or when you can talk to us when you are at the lodge.

ART & HANDCRAFT TRAINING

We are very instrumental in teaching and training interested visitors how to make handcrafts out of wood. Buhoma is known for the mountain gorillas and most of the talented youth earn a living through making art and crafts to sell to the tourists. Some of the tourists find it interesting and always want to participate in handcraft making, that’s where we come in to teach them step by step as they make beautiful souvenirs.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

We own 3 Comfortable 4×4 Land Cruisers, best for safaris and transfers. We offer airport transfer service to our customers and can also transfer them to any other destinations they would like to go to at an affordable cost.
